If you are caring for a loved one with a life-limiting illness, Hospice of Broward County is here to meet your emotional and spiritual needs and conserve your resources so you can continue to give in the way that you would like to.

No matter what your caregiving role or location, we are here to support you.

We are experts in end-of-life care and we are available whenever you need us. Hospice of Broward County patients, their families and caregivers can call us anytime day or night with questions or concerns.We listen, educate and guide you through every situation. You are not alone. 

• Our doctors and nurses spend the time with you to help you understand your loved one’s condition, whether you are here or far away.
• We provide two types of respite care to provide some relief from the day-to-day demands of caring for a patient at home.
  • When you need a few days relief or need to go out of town, respite care is available for up to five (5) consecutive days. Respite care is arranged by the your Care Team and provided in an approved facility. 
  • Our wonderful Hospice of Broward County volunteers may stay with your loved one while you get some much-needed time off.
• We connect you to all of the resources of the community and help you navigate a complex medical system.
• We guide you through difficult decisions on your loved one’s care needs and settings, and talk to you about your concerns.
• Your Care Team’s clinical social worker can help family members cope with a life-limiting illness.
• Our Bereavement Center is available to everyone who has experienced or is anticipating a loss – families, adults, teens and children.  Individual, family and group counseling  services are offered at no charge to the families and friends of hospice patients.
• Our chaplains provide spiritual support and crisis intervention for you and your loved ones . All religious traditions are respected as well as those seeking a more general spiritual perspective.
